Heartfelt, tender, hurting and lovely romance with a fun military backstory/setting


Paige and Jake's romance was a sweetly honest, hurting, but hopeful romance. Dealing with family issues (Jake's mother's health, and Paige's family's expectations), career issues, miscommunications, and 'life' made for an honest, sweet romance and story that was a portrait of life as it happens. Poignant, yet so sweet when they were together. Their unconventional meeting, the 'moments' that they shared along the way as they moved through their relationship made for a lovely, satisfying romantic read. Loved this story of two hurting hearts coming together and finding their 'heart homes'. Beautifully done, and the flying/military back story made it all the more interesting and fun to read.

Where the Stars Meet the Sea by Heidi Kimball Goodreads Review ⭐⭐⭐⭐  Romance, clean, period;  Juliet's story, and her romance with the Duke of Halstead, was a lovely, period romance.  As she stumbles in several encounters with the Duke, mainly as she seeks to escape notice of her overbearing, unkind Aunt, making mistakes with him, but with her genuine nature, and forthright manner open his heart to a chance of a future.  The moments were sweet, funny at times, and even as she questions the outcomes and worries, you can see his heart opening to her.  Some of the side characters were caricatures, a bit over done in some ways.  The conflict with her Aunt, pushing her cousin's suit and holding her brother's future over her as she tries to control how Juliet acts, and interacts with others made for a good contrast with Halstead's subtle observations and interactions.  Halstead's family, his mother, grandmother and sister and the conflicts and contrasts th

  On the Run Guardians Book 4 Traci Hunter Abramson GoodReads Review ⭐⭐⭐⭐✯ Romance, clean, suspense; series but stand alone read Elle Jameson's suspicion of a crime as she works undercover at an Air Force base abroad. Her subsequent rescue by The Guardians has her running and trying to escape danger with Ghost/Nolan to try to keep her secrets safe and undercover who is involved and behind the murder of her sister and what is going to be done with the secrets she has uncovered. Perfect blend of intense action, moments of digging to uncover the secrets and connections to the criminals, and of course, the attraction between Elle and Nolan.
