"Love Redesigned" by Jenny Proctor

Image
Love Redesigned Jenny Proctor GoodReads Review ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Romance, clean, contemporary; Gorgeously detailed contemporary romance. Dani and Alex's past, their mistakes, their families, all intertwined together to make a beautiful portrait of life, not just their romance. Introspective, strong side characters, beautifully detailed moments and interactions told from alternating points of view, and loved the NYC and Charleston settings. It was really a story of them, plus the people in their lives who help them with their present's, and their relationships. Family, work, intrigue, and those lovely moments that make life memorable, tender, loving, kind, and beautiful. Finding their place, their heart-homes, this was a lovely story, even with the disappointments, and deceptions by others. A life story, and not just a romance. The design elements in the backstory of the heroine, and the other parts of the backstory, just loved it! I received an ARC from that author

"Love by Chance" by Kacy Cross

Image
Love by Chance by Kacy Cross GoodReads Review  ⭐⭐⭐⭑ Romance, clean; contemporary Cute light romance, more of a 3.5 for me as a reader. Very fun, light romance. Claire's mom keeps trying to set Claire up. Eric is one of those unfortunate men, however, he likes Claire, and as their relationship develops and Clair's Mom's deception and his begins to unravel a bit, he is feeling very conflicted. Their sweet, genuine attraction and budding feelings made for a nice honest romance, with that fun chemistry that makes any romance fan want to read. Fun setting, twist in the backstory, but their fun interactions, and obvious attraction and great chemistry made for a fun romance. Eric is such a fun H, he makes us want to root for his success and for Clair and he to get a HEA. Fun, cute escape read as always! I received an ARC from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for a fair and honest review, my opinions are my own.

Stay With Me Becky Wade  GoodReads review ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Romance, clean, contemporary; Christian faith; series, but stand alone read Genevieve and Sam's stories, their pasts, presents, and the secret that Genevieve gradually uncovers from her parent's past was a compelling, heart wrenching, hopeful, beautifully crafted novel about miracles, forgiving self, and being forgiven, family, opening hearts again to second chances and trusting again. Gorgeous setting, strong secondary characters and emotions so beautifully detailed and reflected on. The ravages and struggles of substance abuse so well described and chronicled. Gorgeously detailed, emotionally powerful, and so well written. Beautiful attraction, hope, and faith, along with the stories of the Miracle 5. Can't wait to read the next novel in this series!

The Heart of a Hero by Susan May Warren

The Heart of a Hero Susan May Warren GoodReads Review ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Romance, contemporary, clean; Christian faith; suspense Jake and Aria's story was a gorgeous, thrill and suspense-filled read, with lots of moments between them. Jake's concerns and hesitations to be good enough, and worthy of Aria, Aria's past, and her worry about her heart, and Jake's feelings, her past with her twin, it all swirled together emotionally, and as they found each other again and again, it was so beautiful to read and watch. SMW is a master of suspense and action. The tropical storm, the events and side characters in the hospital and ship, all woven together masterfully and with lots of action, moments of kindness and caring, and of course, Jake saving the day multiple times. His courage, quick thinking and strength, and diving into the moment were fantastically real, heartfelt, courageous and smart. Aria's physician's knowledge, her work trying to patch together the

"The Rebel Bride" by Shannon McNear

Image
The Rebel Bride Shannon McNear GoodReads review ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Romance, clean, period; Christian faith elements a strong part of the novel. PG-13 due to violence and descriptive injuries, near rape, and violence. Well drawn romance set in the South during the Civil War. Pearl, daughter of a family in Tennessee is forced to care for wounded US Federal soldiers by her Confederate officer cousin who is seeking her hand in marriage. This does have battle scenes, horror of war stories and attempted rape (it didn't get very far in the description though). Joshua, one of the wounded is drawn to Pearl as he recovers from losing his hand.  The injuries, and historical setting, seemed so realistic.  Gorgeous, lush, hurting, hopeful read that will linger long after you put it down.  Pearl and Joshua's romance forbidden, but skillfully woven together into the novel, and loved how it resolved. They had many problems to face ahead, but well drawn attraction, kindnesses, and two beaut

Bargaining With the Billionaire

Bargaining With the Billionaire Maria Hoagland GoodReads review ⭐⭐⭐⭑ Romance, clean, contemporary; series, but stand alone read Kian and Autumn's story was an interesting take on the Rumplestiltskin story.  Both interesting characters, an interesting setting, cute small town moments, and the building with the twist in it. The story of Kian's family, and the hidden secret that comes to light over the course of the story was a fun addition to the novel. Kian and Autumn's attraction, worries over her leaving town, and of course her business and all that it entails, the fundraiser, all made for an engaging and fun story.  Their hesitations, their attraction, their fun honest hearts all were well drawn, and made for a perfect escape read. Loved how he leveled her out, helped her take a break from her worries, and watched over her.  His kind, fun loving, caring personality made him a perfect H for me, and Autumn, finally finding someone who saw her for who she was, mad
